The foundation of Pilates focuses on improving functional movement, proper alignment and the strengthening of your body.

Mat classes are technique orientated, where you can practice the fundamental principles of Pilates and concentrate on your body, alignment and breathing. There is always a challenge to work your body hard against gravity during every movement.

Mat classes are based on floor exercises but can use small apparatus such as weighted balls, magic circle, foam rollers, balls and bands. These can be used to assist or challenge you.

We have multiple classes running each week catering for all abilities and have a maximum of 8 participants to enable more personal attention throughout.

Group Mat classes are good for those clients who do not have any serious injuries, and do not require 1:1 tuition.

Due to the small number in each class the exercises can be modified to suit all levels of ability
